A new report shows the number of uninsured Americans has risen to 52 million in the last two years. That’s 7 million more than two years ago. Nationally, that’s a 13 percent increase in the number of uninsured.
In North Carolina, Rhode Island and Indiana, the increase was 22 percent. Here in North Carolina, we have 1.75 million uninsured people.
Meanwhile, in Washington, President Obama is said to be looking at bad compromises to a public health insurance plan so that we can get “reform” past the medical-industrial complex.
Things aren’t going to get better unless we all get in touch with our legislators and tell them their jobs are on the line.
Each of us needs to speak up. Our voices can’t make a difference unless we raise them.
