Whatever it was, we had 112 letters written at our letter-writing party at First Congregational United Church of Christ today. Several were written by teenagers who face losing health care as soon as they get out of college.
We had older people too, whose health care is assured by Medicare, but who are worried about their children and grandchildren.
Some people chose to write lengthy letters; others wrote post cards telling our senators and congressman that they’re being watched by voters as they approach this vital legislation.
If you haven’t done so yet, it’s important to write. Handwritten letters are nearly 30 times more effective than phone calls. Use the tool on our home page to find out who your senators, house members and state legislators are, and let them know this is important to you.
Do it now before the health care insudtry deralis the legislation.
