    representative doggett
when, sir, will congress begin to feel compelled to honor the contract that all of us “we the people” made? get to governing and not being handmaidens of the lobbyists.
we need health care reform…NOW!!..my insurance costs $4200. per annum and gives me 80% of $3000.oo benefits. cause i had polio at 4 yrs. old, i have a preexisting condition(i’m now 63). so “upgrading” is not an option.
i’ve had something wrong with my “gut” for app. 3 yrs. not a lot of analysis is possible on my budget. if i live two more yrs., and if medicare hasn’t been eradicated, then, maybe, i can find out what’s wrong.
sir, please try to honor our contract and get me and others a fair and affordable health care plan. i’m dying to see it come to fruition!
    sincerely,
    danielle

I wanted to pass along my admiration for what you are doing, Leslie! It was an honor to be with you while you marched on Washington this week. My hope and prayer for you is that you will be strengthened in your convictions and continue to do what you feel called to.

I walked away feeling that if everyone had a burden for something “more” for our culture, the world would definitely be different.

    1,000,000 blessings to you!

Help Life o’ Mike

We need your help now more than ever. Your tax-deductible donation will help us get Patient Pals and Family Friends off the ground. Please consider a gift in honor or in memory of a loved one. Donate here or mail your donation to Life o' Mike, PO Box 1213, Asheville, NC 28802.

Patient Pals & Family Friends

Life o' Mike has a new peer support program for people newly diagnosed with chronic or serious illness or with a new disability and their caregivers. Patient Pals are people who have experience with various illnesses and disabilities, who can help someone newly diagnosed or with a new disability work through the fear, frustration, confusion and grief often experienced in the first few months. Family Friends are there to help caregivers and other family members grow into their new role. People with new illness or disability fare better when they have a role model -- someone who can help them negotiate their new path in life. We need volunteers, who are asked to donate a minimum of one hour a week. Training is free and includes information on active listening, ways to help and when to know more help is needed. And of course, we need funding. To learn more, call Leslie Boyd at 828-243-6712 or e-mail lifeomike@gmail.com.
